Open Question: Anyone use Google Analytics?
I’m just curious. I just set up my account for it. I was wondering if it really benefited anyone’s AdWords or AdSense accounts. Or if it benefited your site at all. Or was it just kind of, there, never really helped you out any.
Does anyone know if/how you can use google analytics to track email open rates?
I'm not interested in tracking links/click throughs, but email open rates. If google can't do it, perhaps you know of some (free) software which can?
there is 1 way i know but it is very unreliable.
in your email you have

the image.php "eventually" returns an image but also registers the opening of the email

Google Analytics does not track email open rates. It is not an email software first of all.
I know of no free software that can do this. Companies such as Lyris, Topica and Constant Contact can do this — but they are NOT free
