H-1B or J1 US visas and AFFILIATE programs, Google AdSense? I'm not a resident of the US. I would like to get H-1B or J1 visa. The problem is that they seem to not allow me to earn money from my web-sites using affiliate programs and services like Google AdSense?
However I'm not 100% sure the attorney's answer is correct.
Does anyone has H-1B or J1 visa and earns money from its web-site as well?
What officials (IRN, ISN,…) can I contact to make sure these activities are allowed to holders of H-1B or J1?
If I can't earn money from my web-sites, then what country would you suggest to open a company to get affiliate income (please do not offer the US, 'coz I would like to do some work for the company myself)? Could such a company pose risk to holding the H-1B or J1 visa?
p.s. Please state what kind of job and/or experience you have in the field when answering.
Do a google search on H-1B. You might try calling the social security administration and ask them what you need to do. The would be the safest approach.
Are you residing in the U.S. and trying to earn money or do you reside outside the U.S. If you reside outside the U.S. you should not have a problem you just enter the country of origin and you would be exempt for the US tax law.
However, if you are in the U.S. for the purpose of earning money you should have been given a social security number, even if you are a student you should have a social security number.

That's about all I can tell you on the subject.
Hope it helps. Good Luck.
