Myths About The Google Adsense Secret
After using Adsense for a while you begin to ask yourself what is the Google Adsence secret. There are a few things that you can do to improve earnings. Experimenting is the key, what may work well on one site may not on another.
The first thing you need to realize is that there is no magic one size fits all solution. You will just need to test different things to see what gives a good response and what doesn’t. The first thing that you should try is different ad positions.
Try an ad in a certain placement for a week and at the end of that time write down your results, you may want to come back to that ad placement later.
There are a few positions that seem to offer the best results. Google knows this and they publish a “heat map” pinpointing what they believe are the best place for ads. If you go into a Google search engine and type in “Adsense heat map” it will be easy to find.
The top performing ad block is usually directly above the content. This is by no means a rule of thumb and every location should be tracked every week to see how they are performing.
News site ad placement seems to do better at the bottom immediately following the content. As visitors finish reading they are looking for something else to do and an Adsense ad placement can be that something.
Placing ads on the left side of the page seems to do well, this is because text is usually written from left to right and top to bottom. Each time a person finishes a sentence their eyes return to the left position, which means they have a chance to identify your ads.
It is best to have ads that blend in with your site content. If your visitor experiences any kind of eye discomfort they will simply click away. If you choose to promote Adsense a simple website layout is usually the best.

An Adsense Referral Can Multiply Income
An Adense referral can boost a sites earnings. When adding Adsense to your site there are a few things to take into consideration. Some believe it diminishes a brand while others believe it is a useful tool to promote visitation and it makes their content more profitable.
The deciding factor usually comes down to the commercial goals and the purpose of your website. A lot of businesses that sell products tend to place Adsense ads within their website also. At face value this does appear to be an odd move, promoting other services or products to your potential clientele base.
Adsense publishers do this to allow companies who provide ancillary services to advertise. As an example companies that sell pillows could provide those that sell pillow cases a place to advertise and the website owner can make a little profit in the process.
Although this does make sense, there are some that allow rivals to penetrate their audience. There are a few that claim that there are benefits in allowing direct competitors to advertise within your site. If a visitor wanted to look at the competition they could do so through a Google search. This way when they leave to check out a competitor you can make a little income.
Adsense may be a questionable choice for many online retailers, but it is surely a good supplemental income for a variety of other online publishers. This has been the case for many bloggers. High numbers of traffic is the key.
Adsense is also aligned with publishers that use the service purely to provide links to adverts. When a person does a Google search, then clicks on an Adwords advert and is brought to a website that reads top ten resources on ..BLANK… This is a problem and is something that surfers find frustrating. The system is not completely perfect and there are a few kinks that need to be worked out.
Regardless of the disadvantages and the few bad websites that take advantage of the service it is still a useful tool for website visitors. Those that visit a website and click on a Adsense link generates a little income for the site owner.
The only thing that has Google worried is that a rival PPC program may offer a better deal and publishers may go elsewhere. I do believe if you are going to be involved in an Adsense type program it is best to stay with the big boys on the block, Google.
